Ajman University College of Business Administration has an immediate opening (Fall 2020) for an Adjunct Teaching Assistant position. The successful candidate will have a degree in a related field, exceptional educational profile and/or three-year experience in a similar role at a reputable institution.
Job Description.
The TA is responsible for performing teaching or teaching-related duties to assist instructors-of-record.
NOTE: All TA tasks are expected to be carried out under the course instructors' supervision. Responsibility for satisfactory completion of all course-related tasks remains with the instructor of record.
Key Duties
- Attend classes with instructors as required
- Reinforce lessons presented by instructors by reviewing material with students one-on-one, in laboratory, or in tutorial sessions
- help instructors develop course plans
- Help instructors preparing for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment, such as computers
- Help instructors with recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades
- Help instructors with invigilation
- Help supervising students in class, laboratory, and on field trips
- Assist with advising and administrative tasks
- Facilitate group discussions and team-based learning
- Other administrative tasks that may require the involvement of teaching assistants as prescribed by the head of department
