The University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Emergency Radiology.

The Division of Emergency Radiology at USC operates out of the LAC+USC Medical Center, one of the busiest Level 1 trauma centers in the nation. The Division, which was established in 2013, is currently staffed by 7 emergency radiologists, and provides the vast majority of interpretations for imaging originating out of the LAC+USC Medical Center Emergency Department. A successful candidate will have clinical expertise in a wide range of radiologic modalities and organ systems, with particular skill and experience in trauma imaging. As a faculty member in the Department of Radiology, the ideal candidate will have a strong interest in fellow, resident and medical student education, and is expected to provide ongoing teaching and mentorship at the work station and in formal didactic sessions. In addition, active involvement in research and other scholarly activities is strongly encouraged. Faculty members of the Division of Emergency Radiology are proactive in collaborating with the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Acute Care Surgery on various academic and interdisciplinary clinical projects, and the ideal candidate will share in this philosophy of collaboration. Academic non-clinical time is provided to support these academic endeavors.

Minimum requirements for this position include certification by the American Board of Radiology, fellowship training (ideally in Emergency Radiology, but not mandatory), strong interpersonal skills, an interest in academic pursuits and a willingness to provide shift work coverage, including evening, weekend and overnight shifts.

Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive for academic institutions.
