Position Summary
The Indiana University Department of Comparative Literature seeks a comparatist to join our faculty at the tenure-track assistant professor level, with specialization in Latin American literature and thought. Strong preference will be given to candidates with expertise on at least one Spanish-speaking country and also Brazil, and with knowledge of 20th and 21st century literature and deep acquaintance with problems of literary theory and philosophical aesthetics.
We seek candidates with demonstrated potential for research and outstanding teaching, and with demonstrated success working with diverse faculty and student populations. The usual teaching load is 2/2. The appointment would begin August 1, 2022.
