Tenure-Track Position in Environmental Biogeochemistry with emphasis on Climate Impacts in Ocean-Atmosphere Systems – Vanderbilt University

This faculty position presents an opportunity to join a productive and collegial department at a highly-ranked R1-research university. We seek an individual aimed at the highest standards of scholarship in teaching and research at both the undergraduate and graduate (PhD) levels, and who would be drawn to interact with a diverse, interdisciplinary faculty and student body in the Earth and Environmental Sciences and related fields.

The desired concentration of study centers on the effects of climate change and/or climate variability on coupled earth-systems that operate at inter-annual to millennial time scales and at synoptic to planetary spatial scales. Specific study areas could involve biogeochemical or coupled ocean-atmosphere systems. An interest or experience with both modern and ancient systems is desirable.

Qualifications

PhD with a focus in Oceanography / Climate Change / Earth Systems

Experience in Teaching and Research
