Salary
£40927 to £50296 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University of Nottingham seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Industrial Design to contribute to teaching on our growing undergraduate taught program in Product Design and Manufacture. It is anticipated that this role might appeal to someone moving into academia from industry as well as existing academics with a T&L focus.

It is expected that the ideal candidate will have expertise in the area of Industrial Design, with knowledge of mass production manufacturing and digital manufacturing methods. Candidates should have strong Digital design skills, both 2D and 3D. Applications are welcome from individuals with teaching or industrial experience within this field.

The role holder will take responsibility for delivering high quality teaching and contributing to the planning, design, development and delivery of materials for undergraduate programmes in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering. The role will include the development of course curricula and teaching materials as required.

The post holder may also make a significant contribution to the Department/Faculty via leadership and/or administrative management and/or co-ordination of specific initiatives.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
