£36914 to £49553 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University of Nottingham, School of Law is embarking on an exciting recruitment programme to build on educational and research excellence within the School and are looking to recruit an Assistant Professor in Law and Autonomous Systems, (including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomous decision-making and embodied autonomous systems such as autonomous vehicles or collaborative robots) to join our intellectually engaging and collegial academic environment.  Perspectives on law and autonomous systems may include data protection and privacy, cybersecurity, regulation and governance or liability.  You will be expected to teach in law and technology subjects and to contribute to core undergraduate teaching in one or more of the following courses: Law of Contract, Land Law, Public Law, Foundations of Tort, Law of Trusts.  If you are committed to inspiring and engaging students, and to developing and conducting innovative, original research, of national and/or international standing in Law and Autonomous Systems, we want to hear from you.
