Position Description

The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking to hire two outstanding clinical neurologists to work with multiple sclerosis patients at the University of Washington Medical Center. This is a full-time (12-month service period) appointment at the Assistant Professor (without tenure) rank. These individuals will be a members of a busy academic service performing a variety of clinical duties including outpatient clinical care at the UW Multiple Sclerosis Center at Northwest Hospital and general neurology inpatient attending at UWMC and/or Harborview Medical Center.  University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2021.

Qualifications

Requires an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Completion of a clinical multiple sclerosis / neuroimmunology training program is required. 

Requires experience working with patients with multiple sclerosis. 

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Candidates must be either board eligible or board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
