Salary
£36914 to £49553 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The School of Sociology and Social Policy is a vibrant, diverse and exciting centre for social science teaching and research. We are a multidisciplinary School covering Criminology, Public Policy and Administration, Social Policy, Social Work and Sociology.

This post is available on a research and teaching basis or a teaching only basis. Please indicate your preference in your application.  

As the School enters a period of growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic scholar to join our growing team working in Public Policy. The successful applicant will be expected to make a significant contribution to research and/or teaching in the School taking responsibility for identifying new opportunities and sources of funding for research and contributing to high-quality submissions to future assessments of research excellence, and/or the quality of the education and student experience we provide including identifying new opportunities and innovation to continuously improve the ways we teach. The person appointed will also be expected to play an active role in School operations, for example by taking on a significant administrative role in relation to research and/or teaching.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity available from 01 June 2021. Part-time applications will be considered for candidates wishing to work a minimum of 29 hours per week. Please indicate preferred hours in your application.
