Job Description

The Special & Gifted Education Department at the College of Education, United Arab Emirates University, invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Qualified candidates with strong academic and research accomplishments will be considered. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at both undergraduate and graduate levels. They should also have a strong research capability that enables them to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in their area of expertise, publish their findings in refereed journals, and actively contribute to the growth of UAE University. The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of current and future research activities, a teaching philosophy statement, and a list of courses taught. English is the language of instruction and communication. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses is a must.

Preferred Qualification

The candidates must be active researchers and have an excellent research profile (high h-index) with up-to-date publications in scientific journals in the field of Inclusive Education and/or Gifted Education. A background in Psychology and Child Development is a must. Experience in assessment and diagnosis in children and education for gifted and talented students will be considered a plus.
