YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION

The assistant professor will perform activities related to the pedagogical and professional aspects of the academic profession:

  • will participate in particular in the implementation of practical forms of teaching of compulsory, compulsory elective and elective subjects in all the above-mentioned study programmes,
  • the dominant area of his activities will be in the area of new media (photo, video, editing, sound, animation, augmented reality, AI),
  • will be included in the working team that manages the activities of the intermedia studios,
  • will train student teams involved in the implementation of interdisciplinary projects,
  • will be responsible for the operation of the New Media Studio of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Faculty of Arts of MU and the related technological base of the department, including the new data storage facility,
  • will be involved in the development and promotion of hybrid forms of learning and is expected to be active in newly conceived formats of lifelong learning,
  • will lead, oppose and consult bachelor and master theses of students studying at the KVV,
  • will lead its own research, artistic and publishing activities,
  • He is expected to contribute to the research and professional projects of colleagues,
  • as an assistant professor, he/she can be a member of committees and act as a tutor or consultant, prepare for the requirements for appointment as an associate professor and guarantee selected taught courses

OUR REQUIREMENTS

Professional education and qualifications experience:

  • Master's degree in art education,
  • completed doctoral study programme (Ph.D. degree) in the above-mentioned fields,
  • active knowledge of the English language (minimum level B2),
  • ability to teach in Czech (minimum level C1 or native speaker),
  • potential for national and international professional, research and artistic activities, as evidenced by a list of publications and professional activities,
  • experience of teaching at university (advantage)
  • experience in teaching at primary school, secondary school, ZUŠ, or higher vocational school (an advantage),
  • Experience in delivering professional courses focused on the use of new media (an advantage).

Other knowledge and skills: (required)

  • Broad user proficiency on PC, Mac and mobile devices. Advanced knowledge of Adobe, applications focused on animation, AI, digital craft, 3D printing, etc. Knowledge of secure data, information and digital content management, ability to collaborate through digital technologies,
  • basic social media management skills,
  • Flexibility and willingness to contribute to the development of quality undergraduate student training,
  • Good organizational and communication skills, independence, responsibility, ability to come up with own research and pedagogical projects and innovations in teaching.
