The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) at Yale University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024. The Department welcomes applications from candidates who investigate any area of plant molecular biology and who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community of scholars. We are interested in candidates using any experimental approach, including molecular, genetic, biochemical, computational, genomic, or proteomic, to investigate outstanding questions in plant biology at the organismal, cellular, or molecular level. We also encourage applications from anyone whose interests synergize with the broad interests of the MCDB faculty that include microbiology, cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, genetics, chemical biology, neurobiology, and biotechnology. The selected candidate must have met the requirements for a Ph.D. or equivalent degree at time of hire, as well as a proven record of outstanding research that demonstrates originality and self-motivation. Excellent communication skills for research and teaching are necessary. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a dynamic research group, educate students in plant molecular biology, and be an interactive member of the faculty.
