Qualifications

We are seeking outstanding scientists with an interdisciplinary approach focusing on Neuroengineering and/or Computational Neuroscience, broadly defined. Some example areas of interest include, but are not limited to: (1) computational neuroscience, with potential interaction with the Vanderbilt Data Science Institute and the Vanderbilt Institute of Imaging Science, (2) brain-machine interfaces, which could interact with existing programs in deep brain stimulation and prosthetics as well as basic neuroscience programs on synaptogenesis and network assembly, and (3) in vitro 3-D models of brain and neural organoids which would leverage existing strengths in Engineering and Physics.
