Assistant Professor of Clinical Child Psychology

The Yale Child Study Center seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Clinical Child Psychology. This position will involve clinical responsibilities in both the Yale Outpatient Clinic, with specific focus on the Yale Autism Program, and research assessment. 

The Yale Autism Program is a renowned clinical center for autism, providing comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and consultation for children and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. The applicant must be an experienced psychologist with specific expertise in the clinical and diagnostic assessment of children with ASD and other developmental disabilities.

The position entails conducting and overseeing psychodiagnostic assessments in clinical and research settings and providing clinical feedback to families. Responsibilities will include training other clinicians in the administration of cognitive and diagnostic assessments and providing both oral and written clinical feedback to families.


Eligibility Requirements:

(1) Excellent interpersonal and clinical skills

(2) Doctoral degree in clinical, developmental, or school psychology, with emphasis in developmental disabilities

(3) Eligibility for licensure in Connecticut

(4) Clinical assessment experience with individuals with autism, including cognitive and diagnostic assessment

(5) Clinical proficiency in administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS)

(6) Preferred: research reliability in the ADOS and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R)

 (7) Proficiency as an ADOS or ADI-R trainer is a plus.
