The Department of Economics at UC Santa Barbara invites applications an assistant professor. The priority field for this position is macroeconomics, but exceptional candidates in other fields will be considered. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service as appropriate to the position. We will begin reviewing completed applications on November 16, 2021. This position will remain opened until filled.
Applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD or equivalent in Economics, except the dissertation, at the time of application.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics in hand by date of hire.
The preferred candidate will have a demonstrated research program within the field of macroeconomics.
Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching.
The preferred candidate will have demonstrated commitment to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting.
