DUTIES

Instruct all theory and practical aspects of the Apprenticeship and Foundation  Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic programs, meeting the objectives of the Skilled Trades BC program outlines.

Instruct all theory and practical aspects of the Apprenticeship Gas Fitter B program, meeting the objectives of the Skilled Trades BC program outlines.

Develop curriculum and training materials for the classroom and lab/shop.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Inter-provincial Red Seal Qualification Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic
  • Must have served an apprenticeship in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
  • Minimum 5 years' post certification experience
  • Proficiency in computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and Word, AutoCAD, etc.

Assets:

  • Post-secondary teaching experience
  • Provincial Instructor's Diploma Certification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Additional certificates, education, experience, or training related to the Trade
