DUTIES

Instruct all theoretical and practical aspects of the Heavy Mechanical Foundation Program and/or all levels of the Heavy Duty/Truck and Transport Apprenticeship Programs according to Skilled Trades BC program outlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Served a 4 year Apprenticeship as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or Commercial Transport Mechanic
  • Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty Technician Red Seal Certification with minimum 5 years of related post-certification experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, Internet)
     

Assets:

  • Post-Secondary teaching experience
  • Additional certificates, education, experience, or training related to the Trade
  • Provincial Instructor's Diploma or an Education Degree
  • Supervisory experience
