DUTIES

TRU’s Williams Lake campus is located approximately three hours northwest of Kamloops, in the heart of the scenic Cariboo region, on T’exelcemc territory within the unceded traditional lands of the Secwepemc Nation.

The School of Nursing seeks applications for a Limited Term Contract position with a potential start date of August 15, 2023

 “Responsibilities of a member with a Limited Term Contract appointment shall include a combination of teaching in the Williams Lake BScN year 1 & 2, PN, and HCA programs, professional role and service.”

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD or other doctorate; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter;
• Master’s degree with current practice and teaching experience may be considered; Masters in progress with teaching experience considered

• Holds a minimum of one (1) degree in nursing; 
• Five (5) years full time or equivalent hours nursing experience;
• Evidence of continuous learning in the field of expertise;
• Experience teaching theory and clinical practice;
• Experience with simulation learning environments is asset;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system; 
• Current BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions, or eligibility for registration with BCCNM prior to appointment;
