The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track.

Expertise is required in the specific area of basic and translational research in pediatric sarcomas. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree.


Teaching Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities may include:

  • Teaching and research training of medical students, graduate students, residents, and medical fellows in pediatric hematology/oncology or related disciplines.

  • Mentoring and supervision of post-doctoral fellows.


Clinical Responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities may include:

  • Serving as attending physician on the dedicated solid tumor inpatient service.

  • Providing outpatient care to children, adolescents, and young adults with sarcomas and other extracranial solid tumors.


Research or Scholarship Responsibilities

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include:

  • Directing an independent, NIH-funded research program focused on basic and translational research in pediatric sarcomas.

  • Maintaining a strong track record of successful extramural funding.
