Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatric and adolescent concussion care as an emphasis, with additional experience in pediatric and adolescent non-operative musculoskeletal sports medicine, working on a multi-disciplinary team with operative sports medicine orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, certified athletic trainers, and musculoskeletal radiologists. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board-certified in Pediatrics with Certificate of Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine (CAQSM).
Teaching responsibilities may include Clinical teaching of medical students, residents (pediatrics, family medicine, physical medicine, and rehabilitation), fellows (sports medicine, emergency medicine), and faculty (primary care, general pediatrics, adolescent medicine, emergency medicine), including didactic lectures for all levels of learners as well.
Clinical responsibilities may include Seeing patients in the outpatient sports medicine setting, with an emphasis on concussion. The successful candidate will also see patients with musculoskeletal sports medicine injuries.
