The Section of Pediatric Critical Care is recruiting a Pediatric Intensivist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital’s 22-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the main campus in New Haven, CT. In addition, the candidate will ultimately be expected to lead our academically-focused fellowship program, which includes six fellows.

 

The successful candidate will join the Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. A record of excellence in medical education is expected, including expertise in residency or fellow program leadership and curriculum development. An expertise in leadership and research would be a plus.

 

In addition to clinical and educational responsibilities, the ideal candidate should have a desire to be contributors or collaborators on research studies. Since the Section has a strong academic focus, contributing to the Section’s scholarly projects is encouraged, while developing their own research program is expected. Furthermore, the candidate is expected to actively participate in the education of medical students, residents, and nurses, and in Section and Department quality and safety efforts.

The candidate will receive a competitive salary with incentive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

The desired candidate should be board certified or eligible in pediatric critical care; preference will be given to those individuals having additional training in medical education.
