The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track.

Expertise is required in the specific area of:

  • Psychiatric genetics

  • Animal models

  • Mitochondrial proteins

  • Neurodevelopment

Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree.


Teaching Responsibilities

  • Clinical instruction of residents

  • Teaching medical and graduate students

  • Mentoring post-doctoral fellows


Clinical Responsibilities

  • Serving as an attending psychiatrist in outpatient services


Research/Scholarship Responsibilities

  • Conducting research in translational neuroscience relevant to neurodevelopment

  • Publishing in top journals

  • Successfully competing for extramural funding to support research
