Department of Psychology: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (2 Positions)

The University of New Brunswick, Department of Psychology, Fredericton invites applications for two tenure-track positions, one in Clinical Psychology and one in Experimental Psychology, at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2021. The Department has BA and BSc majors and honours programs as well as PhD programs in Psychology and Clinical Psychology (CPA accredited). The positions are subject to budgetary approval

The Clinical Psychology position is for an individual with training, research, and teaching interests in any area of Adult or Child/Adolescent Clinical Psychology. Individuals with clinical training and research interest in Aging, Indigenous Mental Health, Neuropsychology, Addictions, or Forensics are particularly encouraged to apply, although other areas will be considered. The successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (or near completion), a promising record of excellence in research, the ability to develop an externally funded research program, a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring (undergraduate and graduate), a record of professional service, and be eligible for licensing in the Province of New Brunswick. The successful candidate is expected to be primarily involved in the Clinical Psychology Program and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.

The Experimental Psychology position is for an individual with expertise in Behavioural or Cognitive Neuroscience and research in any substantive area of Experimental Psychology. Expertise in quantitative methods and analyses are also an asset, but not required. Please note that the Department does not have animal facilities. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Psychology (or near completion), a promising record of excellence in research, the ability to develop an externally funded research program, a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring (undergraduate and graduate), and a record of professional service.
