Position Overview

The Department of Psychology at UTSC invites applications for a two-year full-time CLTA in Social and Developmental Psychology.

  • Rank: Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream

  • Term: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2028

  • Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology or a related field by the time of appointment (or shortly thereafter).


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Demonstrated record of teaching excellence

  • Experience in lecture preparation, delivery, curriculum development, and online material development

  • Commitment to pedagogical inquiry and teaching-related scholarly activities

  • Evidence of excellence in teaching may include:

    • Teaching awards or accolades

    • Presentations at conferences

    • Teaching dossier (see below)

    • Strong letters of reference

Salary

  • $106,000 – $126,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience

  • Negotiable for exceptionally qualified candidates
