Job Summary
The successful candidate will develop and teach undergraduate and graduate Sociology courses involving and relating to AI and contribute to the intellectual life of their units through research.
The successful candidate will:
- Expand the university’s capacity to explore the implications of developing AI across multiple academic domains (including but not limited to Sociology).
- Advance and contribute to Sociology research and educational initiatives surrounding AI in new and important ways.
These positions will also include in-person teaching in Purdue University's innovative, nationally-recognized Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts Program that educates students across the university.
Qualifications
- PhD in Sociology, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (including machine learning and computational data science), or closely related degree, or foreign equivalent.
- The candidate must have a record of publishing high-quality peer-reviewed research.
- All requirements may be satisfied concurrently.
