Position description

The Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology is recruiting for a Project Scientist at the Assistant level.

The candidate will be involved in the investigation of preclinical models and clinical specimens of ovarian cancer. The goal of this position is to decipher the contribution of tumor associated myeloid cells or macrophages in promoting the disease progression and therapeutic resistance in ovarian cancer. The candidate will also conduct tissue cell culture work and generate cell lines for reporter gene assays.

Requirements for the position: PhD in pathobiology, postdoctoral research experience in ovarian cancer stem cells and a strong publication track record. Experience in primary cell isolation and differentiation, tissue culture, and flow cytometry and excellent scientific writing skills are also a must.
