The Department of Psychology is currently hiring for an Assistant Project Scientist. Criteria:
Candidate must have a PhD in Psychology or equivalent. They must have experience teaching undergraduate statistics courses using Introduction to Statistics: A Modeling Approach. They must have a strong background in Cognitive Psychology, GitHub, and R coding, and have experience developing R packages and Jupyter notebooks. Job responsibilities include improving an online statistics textbook and the platform on which it’s housed and conducting experiments designed to investigate how to maximize student learning from the textbook. They will support the PI in experimental design, execution of experiments, data analysis and interpretation, and manuscript preparation, and will also supervise graduate and undergraduate students conducting research projects.

The appointment will be for 100% starting on October 1, 2020. The position is renewed on an annual basis.
