The Department of Computer Science at Purdue University invites applications for multiple Teaching Faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the Indianapolis campus. These are non-tenure track faculty positions.
Teaching Faculty participate in departmental, college, and university-level activities and have professional development opportunities. Responsibilities include:
Teaching undergraduate courses (lecture, lab, online, hybrid)
Scholarship, including mentoring and advising students
Service activities at departmental, college, and university levels
PhD in Computer Science or a related field
Demonstrated history of teaching and mastery of subject matter sufficient to teach a range of undergraduate courses
Experience managing multiple teaching assistants and developing course content
Experience in course and curriculum development, student interaction, and online instruction
Instructional areas of particular interest:
First and second programming courses for majors
Mathematical foundations of computer science
Systems programming
