The department participates in numerous research projects, grant programmes, and applied projects.

Job Description

• Teaching and supervision of students in Czech and English within undergraduate and graduate courses focused on social geography, with specialization in:
  • urban studies
  • socio-spatial inequalities
  • transformations of cities and regions
  • environmental change
  • sustainable development
• Research and project activities in social geography and urban studies focusing on:
  • socio-spatial processes
  • institutional frameworks
  • urban and regional development policies
• Development of an independent research agenda, including:
  • building a research team
  • collaboration with existing research groups on topics such as:
    • spatiotemporal mobility
    • disability and accessibility
    • climate change

Skills and Qualifications

• PhD in social geography, urban studies, sociology, or a related field
• Publication record corresponding to the level of an established researcher (R3), ideally with international impact
• Proficiency in Czech and English, both spoken and written
• Experience in research and/or applied projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness and ability to contribute to departmental activities and development of study programmes
