The Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto is seeking applicants for the position of Program Director, Nephrology. Applicants must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Successful completion of the Continuing Faculty Appointment Review (CFAR) is required. Preference will be given to applicants at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
The Division of Nephrology at the University of Toronto is a dynamic and vibrant division, being central to the clinical care of complex patients at all of the major teaching hospitals affiliated with the University of Toronto. The clinical care, research, education and quality improvement activities in the Division are world-class, and the numerous hospital sites offer an unparalleled breadth and depth of training and scholarly experiences in the field of Nephrology.
The Program Director, Nephrology is a leadership position, highly valued and pivotal to the overall success of the Department. The Program Director is responsible for the overall conduct, organization and accountability of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada’s Nephrology residency training program.
The Program Director reports directly to the Vice-Chair, Education (or designate) and the Departmental Division Director, and is also accountable to the Associate Dean, Postgraduate Medical Education.
