The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of laryngeal, airway and esophageal disorders. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Must be fellowship trained in the field of laryngology and esophagology and board certified or board eligible.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical student and resident education as well as formal lectures on an annual basis.
Clinical responsibilities may include the medical and surgical treatment of patients with laryngeal, pharyngo-esophageal and airway pathologies.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include a strong interest in developing a clinical and translational research program with collaborations within and outside the department. Applicants should have an established record of scholarship activity and/or research programs related to laryngology/esophagology.
Candidates with demonstrated success in program-building and academic leadership are encouraged to apply. Individuals are expected to work with department leadership to grow the clinical and academic activities of the Voice and Swallowing Center program.
