The Division of Urology in the Sprott Department of Surgery at the University Health Network, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and the University of Toronto invites applications for two full-time Academic Urologic Oncologists.
We are seeking candidates with:
Advanced training and experience in open and robotic urologic oncology, demonstrated through formal fellowship training.
Expertise in managing patients with genitourinary malignancies, including prostate, bladder, and testicular cancers.
One position focuses on radical cystectomy and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND).
The other position focuses on prostate cancer management, including robotic prostatectomy.
Candidates will provide clinical care, participate in specialty and general urology calls, teach and mentor trainees, and contribute to research and academic scholarship.
Deliver high-quality patient care in urologic oncology across a multidisciplinary program
Participate in surgical specialty calls and general urology coverage
Educate and mentor urology trainees, medical students, and other learners
Promote a positive, inclusive work culture and prioritize patient-centered care
Maintain a 50% academic commitment, including research, scholarship, and professional service
Hold appointments in the Department of Surgery and Princess Margaret Research Institute
MD degree
Certification in Urology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or recognized equivalent
Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
Proficiency in English
Secondary graduate degree: MSc or PhD
Demonstrated excellence in:
Urologic surgery training
Clinical service in urologic oncology
Research and scholarship
Experience in open and robotic urologic oncology procedures
Fee-for-service model: $300,000 – $400,000 CAD/year, depending on clinical workload
Academic start-up funds aligned with credentials and experience
