A significant opportunity exists to join the Adelaide Dental School within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, as the next Begg Chair in Orthodontics.

You will be joining the Adelaide Dental School, one of Australia’s peak centres of excellence in oral health, delivering internationally recognised education, research and service, in one of the largest health and life sciences clusters in the Southern Hemisphere.

Celebrating 100 years of oral health education and training in South Australia, the Adelaide Dental School has built a proud history and reputation for outstanding teaching, research and innovation as well as contribution to the community. The School is home to state of the art facilities such as the dental simulation clinic, innovative digital dentistry, virtual reality dental simulators and haptic technology for immediate tactical feedback to our students.


We are seeking a Chair who is energetic, inspiring and entrepreneurial, with a strong appetite for growth and improvement to ensure the School remains at the international forefront of orthodontic education and research. You will have access to substantial dedicated funding to support research in orthodontics, and oversee the esteemed Milton Sims Visiting Professor Program.

To succeed in this position you will have excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and a distinguished teaching and research track record. A collegiate approach to working is considered important as is the ability to work effectively with partners and colleagues.
