Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

This is a 1.0 FTE 9-month position with benefits. The position primarily involves teaching biostatistics courses to undergraduate and graduate students at fundamental and intermediate levels, mentor students, and engage in university and professional service. Candidates are also expected to teach epidemiology courses at the introduction level. This position reports to the departmental chair and coordinates/supports teaching along with other departmental duties/service. Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills are necessary for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates should possess a doctoral degree in biostatistics or a closely related public health field. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level biostatistics courses and mentor students.

Able to take office and classroom tasks, ability to sit for extended hours, visual acuity to read data on reports and computer screens, ability to type on keyboard for extended periods.
