About This Opportunity 

The Queensland Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation Research Centre (QCPRRC) is on an incredible mission with the Learning through Everyday Activities with Parents (LEAP) project. And they need a dynamic Clinical Research Coordinator to join their team. In this role, you'll be the engine that drives the LEAP project forward, ensuring smooth sailing and impactful results.

 

The responsibilities include managing regulatory submissions and ensuring compliance with ethical and governance requirements. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, coordinating participant recruitment, and maintaining records. Additionally, the coordinator will handle data management using UQ Research Data Manager (UQRDM) and REDCap databases and provide project support by preparing reports and assisting with clinical trial management.

 

The coordinator will also be involved in the setup and screening of potential participants for the LEAP project, performing randomization procedures, and managing data entry. The position may require flexible working hours for international collaborations, in adherence to UQ's policies.

 

Overall, this role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to support the successful implementation of the LEAP project and contribute to important research in the field.!

 

This is a part-time (80%), fixed-term position for up to 8 months. At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $84,871.95 - $91,158.90, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $99,300.18 - $106,655.91 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.

 

About You  

  • Tertiary qualifications in health sciences (or other relevant disciplines); or experience and research management expertise in a tertiary setting; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

  • Prior experience working in a paediatric health or research capacity, ideally with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples would be highly regarded.

  • Well-developed skills in project and team operations management, including understanding research budgets, liaising with stakeholders, workflow processes, experience with  h clinical research ethics, contracts andlegal governance.

  • Previous experience in clinical research data capture and management using REDCap.

  • Well-developed skills in written communication, including flexibility and proficiency in using a wide range of computer and web applications to achieve high standard communication and promotional materials.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with competing timelines; and to effectively communicate with staff of all levels, both internal and external to the organisation.

  • Broad understanding of Queensland Health organisational structure and operational processes; or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire such information.

  • Mandatory Immunisations: It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
