The Opportunity

The Dean is accountable for the strategic direction and overall performance of research, the student education experience and community engagement in the Faculty. UNSW Law incorporates a range of legal research, advocacy and education centres including international refugee law, human rights, markets and regulation, public law, Indigenous law and technology, law & innovation.

Heads of Schools and Centre Directors report into the Dean along with the Faculty Executive Director, Deputy Dean (Education) and Associate Deans (Research, International and Academic).

About the Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An understanding of the complexities of the relationships between the university sector and the legal sector and the capacity to interact effectively in this environment
  • The capacity and vision to provide strategic leadership to the Faculty of Law and Justice in the development and implementation of its mission, goals and objectives
