The University of Leeds is one of the largest, most prestigious and diverse research-intensive universities in the UK. Our successes are supported by an outstanding community of staff and students, a culture of collaboration across research and education, and a strong financial position. The University plays a key role at the heart of one of the UK’s most economically vibrant and compassionate cities, and takes its economic, social, environmental and cultural responsibilities seriously.

Under the leadership of our recently appointed Vice-Chancellor, Professor Simone Buitendijk, our ambition is to attract students from wide and diverse backgrounds and provide them with an outstanding, research-based education, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to make a difference in the world as global citizens. Work is now underway on our new strategy, which will set the strategic direction of the University for the next 10 years around our goals of community, culture and impact. To help shape and deliver this vision, we are seeking a Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Student Education who will reimagine our student education strategy, ensuring that all students benefit from an exceptional education and an excellent all-round experience. With a deep-rooted passion and proven experience of enhancing student education and the student experience, this individual will help us to think and deliver in new and exciting ways. A key influencer, they will be well-versed in providing visionary leadership at a senior level, within large and complex organisations. A dynamic and innovative thinker, they will have an appetite for leading change and bring proven experience of developing and delivering leading-edge educational initiatives and student support.
