UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Director of Innovation. Reporting to the Vice President for Research and Innovation, The Director of Innovation is responsible for leading the management and commercialisation of the University’s intellectual property (IP) portfolio. This includes licensing IP to companies, the creation and support of new companies, the establishment and development of research relationships with industry, entrepreneurs and the investment communities, and support of a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at the University. In addition, the Director plays a leadership role in engaging effectively at the academic–industry interface. The University is seeking an experienced individual with demonstrated management and deal execution skills, who is entrepreneurial, flexible, responsive, and diplomatic.

Appointment may be made on the Senior Admin II Salary Scale: €124,734 - €157,612 (Scale B) / €118,449 - €152,219 (Scale A).

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy***.***
