Job Summary

  • Position: Full Professor, newly established Kemmy Professorship of Economics

  • Purpose:

    • Lead the Department of Economics’ growth and research agenda

    • Contribute to national and European-level initiatives in economics

    • Shape teaching and curriculum development across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive levels

    • Build partnerships with industry, government, and international collaborators


Candidate Profile / Requirements

  • Research:

    • Established record of high-quality scholarship in economics

    • Ability to lead major research initiatives and mentor early-career researchers

  • Teaching:

    • Contribute to high-quality teaching at all levels

    • Develop new programmes aligned with societal and economic needs

    • Provide strategic vision and foster a collaborative, ambitious research culture

    • Expand external partnerships and influence policy-relevant economic research

Responsibilities

  • Lead research initiatives within the Department and School

  • Mentor and support early-career academics
