Position Overview

The Head of the Department of Pediatric Oncology will lead a medical, educational, and research institution specializing in diagnosis, treatment, and research of childhood and adolescent cancers.

The Head will be responsible for:

  • Managing the clinic and medical team

  • Overseeing undergraduate medical education and doctoral studies

  • Coordinating research and scientific publishing

  • Ensuring teaching and vocational training at the department

Candidates will present their vision and plan for fulfilling these responsibilities during the selection process.

Requirements

  • University degree in General Medicine (or equivalent from abroad)

  • Eligibility to practice medicine in pediatric oncology (per Section 5 of Act No. 95/2004 Coll.)

  • Academic degree PhD or CSc

  • Habilitation required; full professor title is an advantage

  • Personal and professional capability to lead medical and academic teams

  • Teaching experience and readiness to guarantee vocational subjects

  • Active scientific and publishing activity in pediatric oncology

  • Active knowledge of Czech

  • Moral integrity

  • Compliance with Act No. 451/1991 Coll. (Lustration Act) – not required for those born after 1 Dec 1971 or applicants from abroad
