Within the Excellence Strategy of the University of Tübingen and a collaborative effort between the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen, we are seeking a young, highly motivated and emerging researcher, who will take the lead in building up a new group and a competitive research program in the area of Polymers for Pharmaceutical Applications.

The focus of the group should be on synthesis of novel stimuli-responsive polymer materials with tailor-made architectures for pharmaceutical applications. The polymers should be suitable for 2D and/or 3D printing of topical and/or peroral dosage forms. The goal is to develop new polymers that enable controlled drug release upon a stimulus such as pH, temperature, humidity, electric fields.

The scientific background of the young research group leader should be on polymer synthesis with a strong affinity to polymer technology and pharmaceutical / medical applications. The ideal candidate should have an excellent international early-career track record with interdisciplinary collaborations and successful third-party funding.
