Job Description

The Department of Nutrition and Health (DNH) invites applications for an Instructor position contributing to both the BSc in Dietetics and the BSc in Nutritional Science programs. The successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching and supporting student learning across both programs. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality instruction, participating in course content development, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the curriculum. Experience with internship coordination or supervision is highly desirable. The candidate will be expected to support and supervise students in both academic and practical activities, including projects and internships, provide academic advising to undergraduate students, and contribute to meeting accreditation requirements. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in clinical nutrition, dietetics, or other applied areas relevant to patient care and community health, with the ability to contribute complementary or emerging areas of expertise that enrich the programs. In addition, the role involves active participation in departmental activities and initiatives, requiring flexibility and a collaborative spirit. The successful candidate should demonstrate openness to innovative teaching approaches and a commitment to enhancing student engagement. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the evolution of the programs by bringing innovative perspectives and expanding the scope of teaching and learning in alignment with contemporary developments in the field of nutrition and health.

Minimum Qualification

MSc. in Human Nutrition or a closely related field, with prior experience in teaching and supervising undergraduate students.

Preferred Qualification

MSc in Human Nutrition or a closely related field, with teaching experience in undergraduate nutrition courses and experience supervising undergraduate students in academic and/or practical settings. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in clinical nutrition, dietetics, or other applied areas relevant to patient care and community health, along with the ability to contribute complementary or emerging areas of expertise that enrich the programs. Professional registration or licensure as a dietitian or nutritionist (e.g., Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist [RD/RDN], UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists [UKVRN], or equivalent recognized international credential) is highly desirable. Experience with internship coordination or supervision is highly desirable. Familiarity with accreditation processes and curriculum development is an asset.
