The Department of Statistics at the University of Chicago invites applications for the position of William H. Kruskal Instructor. We seek recent or expected Ph.D. graduates doing advanced research with a connection to statistical methodology and applications, machine learning, or data science. Kruskal Instructor responsibilities include teaching up to three courses in statistics or related fields, and engagement in independent research. The position is for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

We particularly seek individuals whose research interests are related to those of faculty in the Department of Statistics


Completion of all requirements for the Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field by the time of hire.
