Position description

The African American and African Studies (AAS) Department at the University of California at Davis welcomes applications for instructors to teach courses in academic year 2021-22.

Candidates should have expertise across African American studies and humanities disciplines such as literature, cultural studies, music, performance studies, theater and drama, and have a record of high-quality teaching in African American and African Studies or related courses.

2) cover letter explaining your teaching experience in African American and African Studies or related fields, detailing how you organized and delivered at least one specific course; please also include information on how teaching in AAS may help in your future plans

4) at least one set of teaching evaluations

For full consideration, applications should be received by June 10, 2021. Candidates should be prepared for either remote/online instruction or in-person teaching.
