Duties and responsibilities
  • Teaching research design and methods of social analysis at the first two levels of higher education, using modern teaching methods and educational technology.
  • Teaching students in sociological study methods at the Bachelor and Master degree levels.
  • Supervising students of the first and second level of higher education.
  • Teaching development.
  • Professional development, incl. to enhance teaching and supervising skills.
  • Research in five years at least in the volume equivalent to that of 1/3 of a doctoral thesis (at the load of 1,0).
  • Participation in research, development and creative activities of the structural unit under the supervision of a professor or associate professor.

Required qualifications
Master's degree or an equivalent qualification.
Required experience
  • Candidates should also have experience in supervising the professional practices of students and experience in academic work in the field of social sciences (at least for 3 years).
  • Experience in supervising students of the first and second level of higher education.
  • Practical experiences in collection of sociological data.
  • Ability to participate in research, development and creative activities.
  • Knowledge of modern study aids, learning environments, learning methods and their development opportunities.
Required language skills
Excellent command of Estonian. Command of English sufficient for professional communication and research.
