Background
The Proteomics Research Infrastructure (PRI) is a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry (MS) based proteomics research facility located at the faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen.
PRI offers easy and timely access to the newest proteomics technologies providing support at all levels from consultancy, over sample preparation, to MS measurements and data analysis. PRI is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) and linked to the NNF Center for Protein Research (CPR) a top-notch research institute for fundamental protein research, which is world-leading in its proteomics technologies. The research environment at PRI and CPR is vibrant, ambitious, and international, with many different nationalities represented. The working language is English.
We are searching for an experienced Laboratory Technician to support the proteomics sample analysis pipeline at PRI.
Job descriptions
The selected candidate will work within the PRI team and carry out a number of routine laboratory tasks but also be actively involved in the sample preparation pipeline. This includes both manual bench work, as well as the operation of a state-of-the-art automated liquid handling platform. The candidate will work closely together with and report to the Proteomics Service Coordinator.

The selected candidate should be reliable and well organized. The work requires independence and demands flexibility and accuracy. Furthermore, the candidate should have good interpersonal skills and interested in working within an international team.

Employment conditions for the Laboratory Technician
The employed is a fixed position for 2 years, with the possibility of continuation. The estimated start date is 15 April 2021. Working hours are 37 hours per week.
The position as Laboratory Technician will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Government and PROSA (association for organized IT Professionals) in salary group 4 or in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Government and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The agreement will be depending on the candidate’s background. On top of the basic salary there is a monthly contribution to a pension fund according to the collective agreement, and a supplement can be negotiated, dependent on the candidate’s experiences and qualifications.
