The Opportunity

The School of Nursing and Midwifery are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to ensure all learning activities conducted in MNM Clinical Learning Environment (CLE) laboratories are high quality, consistent, contemporary and evidence based.

The Lecturer, Clinical Learning Environment (CLE) Academic Lead will be responsible for supporting the academic Director of Simulation and directing the professional staff CLE Coordinators to ensure excellence in planning, managing, and implementing of clinical skills, simulation and simulation related teaching and teaching support for staff and students across both MNM CLE laboratories (Clayton and Peninsula campus).

This can include:

  • Supporting the delivery of clinical skills and simulation teaching across all MNM courses and year levels

  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement activities to identify opportunities for enhancements in Monash Nursing & Midwifery Clinical Learning Environment laboratories

  • Undertaking collaborative research related to clinical skills and simulation teaching and learning

  • Leading the planning, implementation, resource management and coordination of processes and protocols related to clinical skills and simulation teaching 

  • Undertaking a wide range of educational activities 

This position is suited to a highly motivated individual who has registration as Division 1 nurse and/or midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); recent clinical practice and teaching experience, within the previous five years. Additionally, the successful candidate will ideally have a demonstrated record of teaching experience in a tertiary environment, including experience teaching clinical skills and simulation, in curriculum and subject material development and teaching research.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
