Job Overview

PNW seeks a motivated Computer Science educator to teach introductory and intermediate programming courses, with potential to teach other areas such as:

  • Data structures

  • Operating systems

  • Discrete mathematics

  • Computer architecture

  • Networking

  • Databases

  • Software engineering

  • Artificial intelligence

  • Other specialty areas supporting department priorities

The role emphasizes: curriculum development, student evaluation and advising, and engagement with department and program initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in computer science, both lecture and lab settings

  • Develop and update course materials and curriculum

  • Advise and mentor students

  • Contribute to recruitment and marketing of the CS program

  • Serve on departmental, school, or university committees

  • Engage in scholarly activity related to teaching

  • Maintain current professional knowledge and skills


Qualifications

Required:

  • M.S. in Computer Science (or ABD) or related field by August 3, 2026

  • Demonstrated or strong potential for outstanding teaching

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Preferred / Desirable:

  • Breadth of knowledge across multiple areas of computer science

  • Experience contributing to curriculum development

  • Evidence of engagement in professional organizations or research
