Position Overview

University College Cork (UCC) wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Education.

Reporting to the Head of the Medical Education Unit, the Lecturer in Medical Education:

  • will contribute to and assist in the delivery of research-led teaching, assessment and examining on courses in the School of Medicine, with a particular emphasis on undergraduate research;
  • will engage in productive research and scholarship, including the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research;
  • will participate in the administrative activities of the Medical Education Unit, the School of Medicine, and the academic life of the College and University;
  • will carry out other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned by the Head of Discipline/Department/School.

Salary

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) salary scale:

  • Scale B: €80,776 – €104,610
  • Scale A: €76,852 – €99,378

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
