About the Role

A Lecturer is required in the Centre for Immunobiology to teach “Basic Immunology”. Post-holder will be expected to make a unique contribution to the intellectual life of the Institute/Centre and the wider institution. The Lecturer will be expected to make significant contributions to student education, delivering high-quality teaching in the subject area of neuroscience, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

About You

Applicants will have a PhD in the relevant subject and a demonstrable track-record of high-quality research in the field of immunology at a national/international level. They will have significant experience of developing research proposals, bidding for and securing external research funding, and effective award management skills. Post-holder will have clear and ambitious plans for future research and an enthusiasm for making constructive contributions to the vision and leadership of the Institute/Centre and Queen Mary University of London.

The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts & the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service. The Institute is organised into five separate Centres, which though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.

The post is based at the Whitechapel campus in London. It is a full-time permanent appointment. The starting salary will be £42,433 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
