Post Summary

University College Cork (UCC) wishes to appoint two permanent whole-time academics to two vacant Lecturer in Law (Below the Bar) positions.

  • The School of Law is currently ranked 94th in the world (QS 2025 Subject Rankings).

  • Postholders will be expected to be research active, building on existing areas of research strength in the School.

  • Applications are welcome from academics working in any field of Law.

  • Recruitment will consider the fit between candidates and the teaching needs of the School.

  • Postholders will report to the Dean of the School of Law.

Salary

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Below the Bar) Salary Scale:

  • Scale B: €42,602 - €73,177

  • Scale A: €44,669 - €69,631

Salary placement on appointment will comply with public sector pay policy.
